This volume brings together three of the most widely taught introductory texts in Islamic studies, all by Muhammad ibn Sulayman at-Tamimi.

The Three Fundamentals is built around the three questions every person will be asked: who is your Lord, what is your religion, and who is your Prophet. The section on the third fundamental traces the Prophet’s lineage through Quraysh and back to Ismail, the years of his prophethood and messengership, the beginning of revelation with Surah al-Muddaththir, the ordaining of the five daily prayers, and the migration to Madinah — with each point tied to a Qur’anic proof.

The Four Precepts follows, laying out the principles by which a Muslim distinguishes sincere worship of Allah alone from the forms of shirk the Prophet was sent to eliminate. The Conditions of Prayer closes the volume with the prerequisites that must be met for salah to be accepted.
