How do I pay for a purchase?
You can pay online by debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI or wallet. Prepaid orders get 5% off with coupon code PREPAID. If you prefer, you can also pre-pay through J&K Bank mPay after contacting us.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
Full Cash on Delivery is available at checkout in Srinagar. For other areas you can choose Part COD (see "What is Part COD?" below). With COD you pay in cash when the order is delivered. Only Indian Rupees are accepted.
What is Part COD?
Part COD is for orders outside Srinagar. At checkout, choose "Part COD". First, pay the confirmation amount: 25% of your books and shipping amount, online. Then pay the rest in cash when the parcel is delivered.
COD adds ₹50 extra courier charges. If you refuse or do not accept the parcel, the confirmation amount is non-refundable.
Paying fully online with coupon PREPAID is better value: you get 5% off and pay no COD charge.
What are the delivery charges?
Srinagar city (PIN codes 1900xx): delivery is free on orders above ₹700, and ₹50 for orders below ₹700. Rest of Jammu & Kashmir: free on orders above ₹800, otherwise ₹40 + ₹10 per book. Rest of India: free on orders above ₹1,000, otherwise ₹40 + ₹10 per book. The exact charge for your address is shown at checkout before you pay.
What is the estimated delivery time?
All orders are dispatched the same day. Delivery takes within 1 day in Srinagar, within 3 days in the rest of Jammu & Kashmir, and 3 to 10 days in the rest of India, depending on the location. Outside Srinagar, you will get your courier tracking number once the order is shipped, and you can follow it any time on our Track Your Order page.
How do I return a defective book?
We accept returns for defective books, for example missing pages or poor printing. Contact us within 3 days of delivery by phone or WhatsApp on 99065 23492, or by email at lafzbookstore@gmail.com, with your order number and a photo if possible. You can choose a replacement or a full refund. See our Refund Policy for details.
What is My Account? How do I update my information ?
It is easy to update your Lafz Bookstore account and view your orders any time through My Account. My Account allows you complete control over your transactions on Lafz Bookstore. Manage/edit your personal data like address, phone numbers, email ids. Change your password. Track the status of your orders.
Is it necessary to have an account to shop on Lafz Bookstore?
You can shop on Lafz Bookstore by providing just your email ID. By creating your own Lafz Bookstore account, you can enjoy a personalized shopping experience, including recommendations, quicker checkout and a wishlist.
