Premium Ar Raheeq Al Makhtoom [Coloured] By Safi Ur Rehman Mubarakpuri [Best Book On The Seerah Of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ] In Urdu Language

About Premium Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtoom [Coloured]

Premium Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtoom [Coloured] is the Urdu edition of one of the best-loved biographies of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the modern era. The book is written by Shaykh Safi-ur-Rahman Mubarakpuri (RH), and its title is commonly translated as The Sealed Nectar. The word Raheeq in the title refers to a pure, choice drink, and the book offers readers a pure and carefully sourced account of the life of the Prophet ﷺ. This premium coloured edition is meant for readers who want a handsome copy to keep, study and gift.

Few books of seerah have reached as many homes as this one. It has been read in mosques, schools, madrasas and family gatherings, and it has been translated into several languages. The Raheeq of Mubarakpuri remains a first choice for anyone who wants a single, well organised volume on the Prophet ﷺ.

What the Raheeq covers

• The condition of Arabia and the world before the coming of Islam
• The lineage of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his early life
• His marriage and the years before revelation
• The Makkan period, the call to Islam and the hardships faced by the believers
• The migration to Madinah and the building of the first Muslim community
• The major expeditions, including Badr and Uhud, and the conquest of Makkah
• The Farewell Hajj and the final days of the Prophet ﷺ

The chapters follow the order of events, so the reader moves through the life of the Prophet ﷺ from beginning to end without losing the thread. The author draws on the Qur’an, the Sunnah and the classical works of seerah, and he tries to rely on authenticated narrations instead of popular stories.

About the author

Shaykh Safi-ur-Rahman Mubarakpuri (RH) was born in 1942 in Husainabad near Mubarakpur in Uttar Pradesh, India, and passed away in 2006. He studied at several madrasas in India, including Jamia Islamia Faiz-e-Aam, and then taught for many years in Indian institutions. He later served at the Islamic University of Madinah and finally worked as a research scholar with Maktabah Darussalam in Riyadh. He also edited the Urdu magazine Muhaddith for several years. Among his many writings, the Raheeq is by far the most widely known. We ask Allah to have mercy on him and to reward him for this service to the seerah.

An award-winning seerah

The Raheeq won first prize in a seerah competition organised by the Muslim World League, in which manuscripts from many parts of the world were submitted. This recognition helped the book to spread quickly, and it is one reason why scholars and students continue to recommend it today. The prize itself is not the reason to read it, though. The real value lies in the clarity of its narrative, the care it takes with sources and the love for the Prophet ﷺ that comes through its pages.

Why this seerah matters

Allah tells us in the Qur’an that in the Messenger of Allah we have an excellent example. To follow that example we must first know his life. The seerah shows how the Prophet ﷺ dealt with hardship, how he treated friends and enemies, how he led in peace and in war, and how he lived as a husband, a father, a judge and a teacher. When a Muslim reads the Raheeq with attention, faith grows from knowledge, and love for the Prophet ﷺ becomes more than a feeling, because it is built on facts and on understanding.

Who should read it

This Urdu seerah suits students of Islamic studies, teachers, imams, parents and general readers who wish to know the life of the Prophet ﷺ in order. It is also a thoughtful gift for a wedding, for Eid, for a graduate or for someone who has recently begun to practise Islam. Families can read a chapter aloud every week so that children grow up with the story of the Prophet ﷺ in their hearts.

How to benefit from the Raheeq

Read a few pages each day instead of rushing, and keep a notebook beside you. Note the lessons from each stage of the life of the Prophet ﷺ: patience in Makkah, planning in the Hijrah, mercy at the conquest and humility at the Farewell Hajj. Send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ whenever his name is mentioned. If a point is unclear, ask a teacher. Reading the book once from start to finish gives the full picture, and returning to chosen chapters later deepens it.
