The prevalence of unhealthy addictions and depression is extensive, leaving many of us grappling with uncertainty and emotional turmoil. Centuries ago, a diligent Muslim scholar, Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him), revealed a universally accessible and cost-free psychotherapeutic solution, proclaiming, “Genuine happiness comes through sincere supplication. ” He acquired knowledge from his esteemed teacher, Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy upon him). Inspired by the wisdom of our pious predecessors, we too embark on a quest for accepted prayers and eternal rewards within the framework of the Holy Qur’an and authentic Prophetic traditions. The book, built on our debut ‘A Handbook of Spiritual Medicine’ goes beyond being a mere compilation of recommended supplications. It presents a thoughtfully crafted framework that harmonizes our emotions with the most beautiful supplications, all of which serve a profound and constructive purpose. Its aim is to joyfully and with utmost reverence guide us towards attaining the ma’arifat (higher knowledge of Allah, the Exalted) and istiqamah (steadfastness) that every Muslim earnestly aspires to achieve.
