About Aap Beeti – Allama Iqbal
Aap Beeti – Allama Iqbal presents the life of Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RH) in the form of an autobiography, put together by Khalid Nadeem from Iqbal’s own writings and words. The idea behind an Aap Beeti of this kind is simple and attractive: instead of reading what others say about a great figure, the reader hears the story as far as possible in the figure’s own voice. Please message us on WhatsApp at 9906523492 for details of the copy in stock, including the number of pages.
Iqbal wrote poetry in Urdu and Persian, delivered lectures in English and exchanged letters with friends and scholars. A compilation that draws on those sources lets readers follow his journey from his early days to the thoughts of his later years.

Why read an autobiography of Iqbal
Iqbal is quoted in speeches, school assemblies and daily conversation, but many people know only a few famous verses. Reading his life in his own words shows how his ideas formed: his love for knowledge, his concern for the condition of the Muslim community and his deep attachment to the Qur’an and to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Readers often find that the poems become easier to understand once the circumstances of the poet are clear.
For Kashmiri readers the book carries an extra warmth. Iqbal never forgot the land of his ancestors, and a good many families in the Valley grew up hearing his verses. An Aap Beeti compiled from his writings is a natural book for a home library in Srinagar and across Jammu and Kashmir.
Who should read this book
- Students of Urdu literature who study Iqbal in their course
- Readers who want a gentle first book about Iqbal’s life
- Teachers and speakers who prepare talks on Iqbal Day or similar events
- Collectors of Iqbaliyat who like to own several kinds of books on him
- Parents who want to introduce older children to a great Urdu poet
How to enjoy the book
Read it in small portions, perhaps a chapter each evening, and keep a notebook for lines that move you. When Iqbal mentions a poem or an idea, look up the poem and read it again. Compare what you read with other biographies to see how different authors present the same life. Reading together with a friend or in a small study circle makes the discussion richer and helps the lessons last.
